Utilizing an Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system, the Honda Insight is equipped with both a 1.3L engine, as well as a 10 kilowatt electric motor, achieving an estimated 40 miles per gallon in the city* and 43 on the highway*. A new innovation for Honda hybrids is the Ecological Drive Assist System. This new feature further enhances efficiency by providing feedback related to individual driving styles. In an effort to cut costs, many people have begun passing up new vehicles in favor of buying pre-owned. However, now more than ever it pays to buy new.
Recently Congress has passed legislation entitling tax payers to deduct the state, local and excise taxes paid on new vehicles purchased between February 2009 and January 2010. In many cases the combination of high factory incentives, low interest rates and these new tax deductions, can allow you to drive off the lot in a brand new vehicle for less than a pre-owned vehicle.
There truly has never been a better time to buy at Honda of Wesley Chapel. Visit us today to see how much you could save by buying a new vehicle today!

Many food myths persist over time and we soon forget altogether where they came from. Whether it’s word of mouth, an old wives tale, or some obsolete science, it’s time to get to the truth of the matter. Take a look at these common food myths and learn what the real deal is—gain a fresh perspective about what you eat!
Decaf Coffee Contains No Caffeine
While decaf coffee contains significantly less caffeine than a regular cup of java, it still has anywhere between 8 and 32 milligrams of caffeine. While this may seem, negligible, it could make a difference for people with high sensitivity to caffeine. If you really want a caffeine-free beverage, it might be better to opt for decaf herbal tea.
Fat Free Means Calorie Free
Fat free does not necessarily equal calorie free. Sometimes fat free foods can contain as much or more calories than regular versions of the same foods. Sugars and starches are often added to low and fat free foods to enhance the taste—these extra ingredients can be high in calories and create weight gain despite the foods themselves being low in fat! The best way to know what you’re eating is to check the nutrition label.
Eating at Night Causes More Weight Gain
You gain weight whenever you eat more calories than you are able to burn in a day. Eating at night could only cause more weight gain if you are idly eating at that time and forget about moderation! So whether it’s at night or during the day, it’s best to be mindful of portion control and also to get enough exercise.
You Should Drink Eight Glasses of Water a Day
Water is a great way to fulfill your liquid intake, but don’t forget the plethora of options you have. Juice, coffee, tea, and even soft drinks also contribute to your daily requirements. Eight glasses is the standard number, but really everyone needs varying amounts of liquids.
Fresh Vegetables Are Better for You Than Frozen Ones
Freshly picked vegetables have more nutrients, but generally nutrients are depleted during transportation and packaging anyway. So unless you live on a farm and pick your own vegetables, buying fresh or frozen at the store doesn’t really make a difference.

In this tough economy, we’re all looking to spend less. And what’s better than less? Nothing at all! There’s more stuff out there that you can have for free than you might think. From free clothes to free vacations, you can easily find ways to hang on to your dollar.
Free Vacations:
A volunteer vacation is a great way to give back to a cause you believe in, while traveling for free. Whether it be working on a farm or hiking in the wilderness, many cause-based organizations will pay expenses for volunteers willing to work during trips abroad. Do a search for volunteer travel opportunities, and you’d be surprised by what turns up!
Free Clothes:
You can trade in your old clothes, accessories, and shoes anytime! One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Look up thrift stores and vintage clothing shops in your town—many will have bartering systems wherein you turn in your old clothes and get store credit. Also, neighborhood communities often set up clothing swap events—a great way to get free stuff and meet new people. Another place to look for similar clothing swaps is online.
Free Haircuts:
Don’t neglect getting a trim just because of money is scarce these days. While haircuts can cost a small fortune, there are ways to get around this and still look your best. Many upscale salons have special rates or gratis haircuts provided by salon students. Volunteer to be the subject and get a free haircut out of it while helping out a budding professional—everyone wins!

Rich in Antioxidants
Coffee is the #1 source of antioxidants in the American diet. Antioxidants prevent and repair damage inflicted on cells by outside sources. Fruits and veggies are also very high in antioxidants, but coffee maintains to be the richest. If you drink decaf, keep sipping, caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee provide equal amounts of antioxidants.
Defense Against Disease
Research has shown a connection between coffee consumption and cancer and disease. Coffee can help in the prevention of illnesses such as diabetes, liver disease, skin cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.
Improve Your Mental Performance
It’s no secret that coffee helps improve alertness and attention. Use this to your advantage when lacking the energy to tackle a challenge at work. Caffeine also helps you process information and stimulate your memory!
Fat Burner
Caffeine naturally speeds up the metabolism. In addition, it breaks down fat freeing fatty acids, which are then burned. This conversion is up to 30% more efficient when caffeine is consumed prior to exercise. So drink a cup o’ joe and get moving—calories will be burned!

A nationwide grassroots demonstration voicing the concern for our planet first took place in the spring of 1970. The movement spread quickly and now every April 22, we celebrate environmentalism in the United States. Spread the awareness of this important day, what it stands for and have a little fun while doing it!
Start a Spring Clean-Up on your block, your street, play areas, and schools. Visit your local beach and pick up and pitch unsightly garbage.
Plant a tree with your family. This is one of the most important things you can do for our planet. And a rewarding experience for your family, too!
Join an environmental panel in your town to discuss the impact of current policies and plans.

Recently, scientists reached for the stars and literally caught one. Astronomers have been tracking shooting stars and asteroids for many years. But last October, they managed to successfully follow a non-threatening asteroid headed toward Earth before it became a shooting star—a meteoroid as it enters the atmosphere—something that has never been done before.
What is so important about this? Scientists had always thought there would be no space rocks to examine once the shooting star blows up in our atmosphere. However, by tracking the star, remains of black jagged rock, leftovers from an asteroid, were examined and offered lots of surprises—including mini diamonds!
Scientists remain optimistic about the tracking of stars and what surprises await them. So go ahead: follow a shooting star, you never know what you might find!
